Analysis and understanding of user behaviors in online communities
Project Description
Online communities have become an important platform for people to share knowledge and
seek support. Modeling and understanding the dynamic status of the online community is of
great value to its owners and participants who desire its success and longevity. Through the
lens of online communities, a deeper understanding of how people collaborate and solve
conflicts could also be observed. This project will investigate the user behaviors and the evolution of
online communities from a data-driven perspective, and propose design considerations to
improve human engagement in the social media platform.
