Project Description

The integration of electronic circuit and emerging non-volatile memory and sensors based on magnetic materials is promising for AI and IoT applications. Test equipment is required for characterizing functional magnetic devices and systems. The objective of this project is developing a prototype automated test equipment for intelligently investigating magnetic memory and sensors.

Applicant's Roles

The student is expected to work with the supervisor to build a prototype automated test equipment and analyze measured data.

Applicant's Learning Objectives

The applicant will be learning:
1) Basics of magnetism and magnetic materials;
2) Equipment programming language (Labview/Matlab/Python);
3) Motors, chip holders, electromagnet, electrical sources/meters, RF circuits, etc.;
Besides, the application will have to chance to participate in meetings and discussions and gain presentation skill.
