Redox flow batteries (RFBs) are attractive devices for large scale energy storage. One of the key component of RFB is the eletroactive material. This project intend to develop new electroactive materials that are cheap, easy to make, stable, and in the mean time can provide high capacity for energy storage. Safety training is required for carrying out the project.
Student can gain research experience in frontier material chemistry, and also learn common techniques for the synthesis and characterization of organic and organometallic compounds.
