E-commerce and the COVID-19 epidemic
Project Description
The purpose of this project is to look at the short- and possible long-term impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on online shopping behavior. As a result of the outbreak e-retailing became more popular. Some consumers switched to e-tailing for the very first time. Others increased their shopping on online platforms. The goal is to examine people's motivations and also stickiness - would they shop more online after the epidemic wanes in the future? Other aspects include O2O

Applicant's Roles
The context of the project will be HKTV mall - Hong Kong's primary e-tailing destination. The project will require some data collection - in particular interviews (online and offline) with shoppers using HKTV mall. Data can be gathered offline from shoppers visiting the O2O store. No special requirements except for good communication skills and interest in e-commerce.
Another platform could be Chow Tai Fook's e-shop.
Knowledge of cantonese (at least for the HKTV part) is desirable
