Implementation of a software design tool for flat-panel displays
Project Description

Flat-panel displays (FPDs) are ubiquitous in modern information and entertainment systems including smart phones, computer monitors and televisions, etc. The realization of an FPD is a multi-disciplinary endeavor spanning material science, device physics, electronic design and panel manufacturing. Design is the aspect addressed in this Project: specifically the implementation of a mobile APP or web based design tool. The tool itself is to be based on a recently developed design methodology for panel array. It is envisioned that this tool, once implemented and released, will be useful for engineers designing the next-generation large-area, high frame-rate and high-resolution FPDs.
