Metal Extraction from E-Waste
Project Description

This project aims to extract the valuable metal contents from the E-Waste by the chemical methods. Through various chemical methods, the metal contents from the E-waste can be dissolved. The dissolved components will be separated and purified by the selective adsorption technology.

Applicant's Learning Objectives

Through the research study, the student will understand the fundamentals and principles of the extraction process, as well as the separation and purification techniques. In addition, the students are capable of conducting the experimental work, including the dissolution process, metal characterization process, and the selective adsorption processes. It is believed that after the research study the students will be capable of independent and logical thinking.
