The emergence of drug-resistant microorganisms in hospital environment is both a local and global problem. The adaption of new technologies that enable rapid inactivation of microbes without the risk of tolerance and resistance is important in combating MDROs. This project will focuses on field testing different technologies in hospital settings and evaluating their use and efficacy.
The applicant will participate in clinical field test study of select disinfection technology in working hospital environment. The student will participate in environmental sample collection, processing, enumeration and analysis.
