This project will mainly focus on the development of new organic reactions or new organic catalysts for organic reaction in the domain of asymmetric organocatalysis. In this project, various chiral catalysts and reaction parameters (such as solvents, temperature, and additives) will be evaluated systematically to achieve high selectivity and efficiency for new useful synthesis of chiral molecules.
The student is expected to work relatively independently on an easy project, similar to a first-year postgraduate student. This will include reaction discovery, condition optimization, scope study, mechanistic study.
