Quantum State Calculation of Two-dimensional Supramolecular Nanostructures
Project Description
When a periodic potential is imposed at the surface, surface electron dispersion relation will be modified, showing an energy gap will appear at the zone boundaries. Scanning tunneling microscopy can detect this phenomenon by measuring local density of states. This project aims to simulate this physical system by solving 2D Schrodinger equation and by comparing with experimental data, potential barrier will be obtained.
