Project Description

Semiconductor Nanowires have interesting physical properties which makes them promising materials for novel electronics. Particularly, electronic devices can be potentially made smaller and consume less power with nanomaterials. This project aim to fabricate and characterize electronic devices, such as transistors, sensors, etc, with semiconductor nanowires.

Applicant's Roles

The student is expected to work with graduate students on nanomaterial characterization and device fabrication, analyze experimental results and participate in meetings and discussions.

Applicant's Learning Objectives

The applicant will be learning:
1) Semiconductor device physics;
2) Nanomaterial fabrication and characterization;
3) Nano device fabrication and characterization;
In addition, the application will learn how to perform research as a team player and have chance to practice presentation skill.
