Development of intensity stabilization system for optical cooling of quantum gases

A quantum gas of ultracold neutral atoms is achieved by evaporative cooling in the optical trap formed by high-power laser beams. It is known that residual intensity noise of the laser beam often heat up the atomic gas limiting our experimental study in ultracold regime. In this project, we aim to develop a generic stabilization system that minimize the heating effect during evaporative cooling.
