Charge generation and carrier diffusion in organic solar cells

Project Description:To study the photo-generated carrier dynamics and carrier diffusion length in organic solar cells. Time-resolved photoluminescence and femtosecond pump-probe technique will be used to investigate the carrier diffusion, transport and recombination dynamics in organic solar cell materials. Photo-CELIV will also be used to measure the carrier mobility in real organic solar cells

Applicant's Roles:Measurement and analysis of the data. Good background in semiconductor physics and some experience in optics and spectroscopy technique will be an advantage.  
Applicant's Learning Objectives:Learn new experimental technique, data analysis and simulation. Better understanding how solar cell work
