Telemedicine is a rapidly developing application of clinical medicine where medical information is transferred via telephone, the Internet or other networks for the purpose of consulting, and sometimes remote medical procedures or examinations. Here, the development of wireless devices and smartphone apps are important crossover points for the healthcare sector and high-tech industry.
This project will be mainly an experimental and programming project. The students need to give the full analysis of the system and construct a working prototype of a a multi-parametric monitoring app.
Applicant's Learning Objectives:
1. Review previous work on biosensors and bioinstrumentation.
2. Design an electronic system (analog and /or digital) consisting of biosensors, processing electronics, smartphone interface and data management program.
3. Build a prototype of a multi-parametric monitoring app.
