The Disclosure of Conference Call Information on Corporate Websites
Project Description
With the growing popularity of websites as an information source, many companies are providing important corporate information on websites, across various disclosure mediums (text, audio and videos). Such disclosures convey important corporate information to capital market participants, and so the extent of disclosure and the presentation of disclosures on websites could play an important role in the processing of corporate information by stock market investors.

In this project, students will be tasked to help with collecting data on the disclosure and organization of corporate websites. To categorize these websites, we will provide training to students to classify websites as organized or not. Students will then be assigned websites (and historical websites through the wayback machine) to assess the extent of organization. The end of goal of this project is to use this collected data to examine investor responses to corporate websites that are organized versus those that are not.
