Search Obfuscation and Position Auction on Online Platforms
Project Description
We aim to develop a theoretical model on how the design of position auction would interact with the use of search obfuscation strategy in (partially) misdirecting consumers' search for satisfactory products. The model implications will be compared with real-world evidence.
